My Experience
Flagstone Training has been founded on my experience working in the training domain predominantly in the UK defence and rail sectors. I have worked successfully on long-term and urgent projects as an embedded or office-based consultant. My analysis of training needs has covered roles including rail track engineers, army officers and ordnance disposal operators. I have also authored Masters-level eLearning material, developed in-house apprenticeship training and Information Management courses.
My Approach
People are at the heart of the process for any project I work on: they are either the custodians or recipients of training. I take care to build strong professional relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
The 'Goldilocks' approach best summarises my work and I steer my clients away from over/under training to ensure the recommended training solutions are just right. To achieve this, I gain a thorough understanding of the job, equipment or the business need before extracting and mapping the training requirements. I work with my clients throughout this process so that their solution is just right for them.
I produce impressive document sets that enable the tracking of individual job components through to associated training and assessment materials. My products deliver an audit trail valuable to managers, trainers, assessors, auditors and inspectors, particularly if the organisation is subject to government regulator scrutiny.
Why Abi?
I love working with people and my track record confirms that they respond well to the way I approach projects. I value communication and listen to my clients' needs. Much of my work relies on assimilating multiple sources of information and rigorous analysis of data but determining the optimum solution is often a subjective process. I involve and talk to my stakeholders. We might even manage to have a laugh along the way!
